Who will take home the major individual awards this MLB season?

It probably won’t come as a surprise that, since the spring, last year’s unanimous AL and NL MVPs have been the favorites to win the hardware again in 2025.

Yes, the New York YankeesAaron Judge, who led the majors in both home runs and RBI, and the Los Angeles DodgersShohei Ohtani, coming off MLB’s first 50/50 season, both opened the season as the prohibitive favorites.

However, after Judge went on the IL this past weekend, Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners has taken over the top spot in the AL MVP odds. Ohtani still sits in the NL’s crow’s nest, ahead of Pete Crow-Armstrong of the Chicago Cubs.

The Pittsburgh PiratesPaul Skenes has once again claimed the favorite’s spot for the NL Cy Young, ahead of Zack Wheeler of the Philadelphia Phillies. Meanwhile, Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers, who got all 30 first-place votes last season to capture the AL award, is still the favorite to repeat.

In the race for the Rookie of the Year awards, Nick Kurtz of the Athletics has become the clear candidate to win those honors after his recent historic outing at the plate. In the NL, Drake Baldwin of the Atlanta Braves sits ahead of Jacob Misiorowski of the Milwaukee Brewers and the rest of a promising pack of prospects.
