NLCS MVP Winner: Shohei Ohtani
What to know: Entering the series, Ohtani was atop the oddsboard, and entering Game 4, he was the +500 second choice.
However, an epic Game 5 hadn’t happened yet.
Ohtani started on the mound, pitching six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out 10. Oh, and at the plate? He hit three solo home runs.
Indescribable.
ALCS MVP Odds
Vladimir Guerrero: -115 (bet $10 to win $18.70 total)
Cal Raleigh: +400 (bet $10 to win $50 total)
Eugenio Suarez: +650 (bet $10 to win $75 total)
Josh Naylor: +900 (bet $10 to win $100 total)
Jorge Polanco: +1500 (bet $10 to win $160 total)
Julio Rodriguez: +1500 (bet $10 to win $160 total)
What to know: What a roller coaster of an oddsboard. Cal Raleigh opened as the favorite, before finding himself at +1000 after Game 4, before finding himself back near the top of the board, as the +400 second choice going into Game 7. He’s gone deep three times in the series, including in a Game 5 win to help Seattle take a 3-2 series lead. He struck out three times in Game 6.
The new favorite is Vladdy Jr., who has essentially taken over the series in the last four games, three of which were Toronto wins. In Games 3-6, Guerrero has three home runs, three RBIs and six runs. He’s reached base on a walk or hit-by-pitch four times and has only struck out once.
