Tennessee added a commitment to its 2026 football signing class.
Four-star defensive end Jordan Carter committed to Tennessee over Georgia Tech, Texas and Auburn.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pound prospect is from Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Georgia. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 15 defensive end in the class and No. 12 player from Georgia.

Tennessee was the first Power Four school to offer Carter a scholarship on June 2, 2023. He visited Tennessee four times, including an official visit to the Vols’ football game versus New Mexico State on Nov. 15.
Carter previously committed to Texas A&M on Oct. 27, 2024. He decommitted from the Aggies on Nov. 1, the same day he visited Tennessee for the Vols’ football game against Oklahoma.
Liberty was the first school to offer Carter a scholarship on May 2, 2023. Other SEC schools to offer him scholarships include Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Oklahoma, LSU, Arkansas and Mississippi State.
