2026 in-state basketball small forward schedules visit to Tennessee

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2026 basketball signing class.

Four-star small forward Christopher Washington Jr. will visit Tennessee in January, according to Joe Tipton of On3.

The 6-foot-9, 195-pound prospect is an in-state target from Providence Christian Academy in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 19 small forward in the class and No. 1 player in Tennessee.

Alabama offered Washington Jr. a scholarship on June 20, 2024. He committed to Alabama two days after officially visiting the Crimson Tide on Sept. 6, 2025.

Washington Jr. decommitted from Alabama on Nov. 17, 2025.

Jacksonville was the first school to offer him a scholarship on June 3, 2022. Other schools to offer the 2026 prospect scholarships include Bethune-Cookman, Florida State, Auburn, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Michigan, Illinois, Western Kentucky, USF, Clemson, Louisville, Sacramento State, California, Texas A&M, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Villanova, Florida A&M and Maryland.

Tennessee has three commitments in its 2026 basketball recruiting class: small forward Ralph Scott, power forward Manny Green and point guard Marquis Clark.
