2027 defensive end from North Carolina names Tennessee football in top 12 schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star defensive end Rashad Streets named Tennessee in his top 12 schools, along with Oregon, Clemson, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina State, Texas, Alabama, Ohio State, South Carolina, Florida State and Georgia, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect is from Millbrook High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 8 defensive end and No. 3 player in North Carolina.

Tennessee offered Streets a scholarship on Jan. 17. He unofficially visited Tennessee three times, most recently for the Vols’ football game versus Georgia on Sept. 13.

Coastal Carolina was the first school to offer Streets a scholarship on Oct. 22, 2024. Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Louisville, Penn State, Miami, Auburn, North Carolina, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Maryland, Missouri, Florida, Georgia Tech, Arizona State, SMU, Kentucky, Michigan State, USC, Texas A&M and Ole Miss.

Tennessee has three commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield and offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo.
