5-star Alabama WR Cederian Morgan makes major recruiting announcement

by

There were a lot of questions about how things would change at Alabama once Kalen DeBoer took over for Nick Saban after his retirement in 2024, and for the most part, the answers have been positive. One area where DeBoer has done a great job of upholding the standard set by Saban is in the recruiting world, where he has continued to attract high school talent to Tuscaloosa at a high level.

That’s certainly the case in the 2026 cycle, where Alabama has the No. 3-ranked class in the nation at the moment. On Sunday afternoon, they got some positive news on that front as well, with five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan announcing that his recruitment will be shut down until signing day in December.

Morgan is Alabama’s second-highest-rated commit in the 2026 class, behind only 5-star EDGE Xavier Griffin. Morgan is rated by 247Sports as the No. 12 player in the nation and the No. 2 WR in the class. The No. 1 WR is 5-star Tristan Keys, who chose the Tennessee Volunteers over Alabama and others.

Morgan stands at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, and projects to be a significant piece in the Crimson Tide’s offense in the coming years, eventually playing alongside former 5-star QB Keelon Russell. As a star player at Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama, the next several months of highlights will be fun to watch for Alabama fans as they anxiously await Morgan’s eventual signing with the Crimson Tide.
