by

Five-star quarterback recruit Jayden Wade plans to visit the Georgia Bulldogs on the Jan. 30-Feb. 1 weekend. Wade is already committed to Georgia football and is the nation’s No. 1 recruit in the class of 2028.

Wade has been committed to Georgia since Nov. 2025. His recruitment is one to keep an eye on in the class of 2027 because he could reclassify. Wade played varsity football as an eighth grader and a college-ready prospect.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback plays high school football for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Wade is only a rising junior in high school, but he’s already impressed many of the country’s elite college football programs. Wade is the No. 1 quarterback and the top recruit in Florida in the 2028 recruiting cycle, per 247Sports.

IMG Academy’s Jayden Wade looks to pass

Wade is a dual-threat quarterback with excellent speed and a big arm. He plays and practices against an elite level of high school competition at IMG Academy. During his sophomore season, Wade passed for 20 touchdowns and two interceptions. The UGA commit added 243 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.

The five-star quarterback committed to Georgia over Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon and more. Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia don’t have the best track record of signing five-star quarterbacks in recent seasons. The Bulldogs have been able to get commitments, but ultimately they have flipped at the last minute. Georgia will look to avoid a similar fate with Wade.
