Ryen Russillo will leave The Ringer to launch a new digital production company with the backing of Dave Portnoy and Barstool Sports. Russillo has been with The Ringer since leaving ESPN in 2019 and has been a mainstay on The Bill Simmons Podcast during the NBA season in addition to hosting his own podcast.
The Ringer hired Zach Lowe late in the 2024-25 season for both his own podcast and for frequent appearances with Simmons.
Russillo has spoken openly about his pending free agency, but it is not yet known when he will exit the Spotify-owned company.
