College football is back! College football action started in Week 0 with an interesting game between Iowa State and Kansas State in Ireland, but fans are ready for the main course.
ESPN’s “College GameDay” did not attend any Week 0 games, but the crew returns in Week 1. GameDay made the obvious choice and will attend the No. 1 Texas Longhorns at No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes game on Aug. 30. The Texas-Ohio State game will be the final show for legendary GameDay analyst Lee Corso, who will be making his final headgear pick.

Last year, GameDay was in town for seven Ohio State games and five Texas games. GameDay attended all four of Ohio State’s College Football Playoff games including the national championship and the semifinal between Ohio State and Texas.
GameDay’s coverage will start at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 30 from Columbus, Ohio (ESPN). Nick Saban, Kirk Herbstreit, Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee are college football analysts for GameDay.
The Texas at Ohio State game will be televised on Fox. Kickoff is set for noon ET. Both Texas and Ohio State are among the national championship favorites.

GameDay picked the Texas-Ohio State game over other excellent Week 1 games including No. 9 LSU at No. 6 Clemson, No. 8 Alabama at Florida State and No. 5 Notre Dame at No. 10 Miami.

The Georgia Bulldogs open their season against the Marshall Thundering Herd on Aug. 30. The Georgia-Marshall game was not under consideration for GameDay in Week 1, but GameDay could attend Georgia’s Week 3 SEC road game against the Tennessee Volunteers.
