Phoenix Mercury vs Chicago Sky: Injury report, where to watch game

The Phoenix Mercury meet the Chicago Sky for the fourth and final time this season on Thursday, Aug. 28, when the teams clash at PHX Arena.

The Mercury are 23-14 and are fourth in the WNBA. The Sky are 9-28 and have been eliminated from the playoffs. The Mercury have the third-best record over the past 10 games, going 7-3. The Sky have struggled to the second-worst record over the past 10 games, going 2-8.

The Mercury do not have any injuries coming into the contest against the Sky, who will be without guards Courtney Vandersloot (knee) and Hailey Van Lith (ankle).

Sky forward Angel Reese will pose a threat for the Mercury as she’s averaged 16.6 points and 11.6 rebounds over the past five games.

But the Mercury have enjoyed the success of forward Alyssa Thomas, who has been averaging a triple-double over her past five games with 14.8 points, 11.2 assists and 11.6 rebounds. Thomas notched her seventh triple-double of the season on Aug. 26 at the Los Angeles Sparks.

The game will be shown locally on Arizona’s Family Sports and nationally on Prime Video at 7 p.m. MST.
