You can count former Alabama football coach Nick Saban among those who believe the pairing of Miller Moss and Jeff Brohm at Louisville will succeed.
The seven-time national championship coach shared his thoughts of just that on Saturday’s edition of “College GameDay” alongside Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit and Pat McAfee.

“Miller Moss ends up at Louisville with Jeff Brohm which is going to be a lethal combination because of how he uses quarterbacks and Miller Moss’ ability,” Saban said on “College GameDay” on Aug. 30. “This is going to be fantastic for Louisville.”

Moss, who transferred from USC this past offseason, takes over for Tyler Shough at quarterback in Louisville after Shough was drafted by the New Orleans Saints. In four seasons at USC, Moss threw for 3,469 yards and 27 touchdowns. He was benched at USC in November after a 4-5 start to the season for UNLV transfer Jayden Maiava.

That isn’t the only thing Saban said on Saturday’s pregame show that Cardinals fans will like, as the legendary college football coach believes Louisville has a “good chance” at winning the Atlantic Coast Conference this year. Louisville was picked to finish fifth in the ACC preseason poll after going 9-4 overall last season.
“I think they got a legitimately shot. I really do. They got a good football team,” Saban said. “But you never know. There are so many changes, roster changes, leadership changes (and) culture changes. But I think they are going to have a shot.”
Louisville is set to open up the season on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m. ET against Eastern Kentucky.
