Nick Saban reacts to Alabama’s shocking upset loss at Florida State

It is likely no secret that the Week 1 showing in a road loss at Florida State was a disappointing one for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

In the program’s season opener, Alabama fell to the Seminoles in Tallahassee by a final score of 31-17, a game that simply did not include very many positives for the Crimson Tide altogether.

Since, many across college football have commented on that Alabama vs. Florida State result, with one of the main names being former Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

Saban commented on the Alabama loss during Monday night’s edition of ESPN’s “College Football Countdown,” in particular his thoughts on the Crimson Tide in particular.

“Obviously for me, and for a lot of the Bama fans, the disappointment that Florida State dominated the line of scrimmage of both sides of the ball,” Saban said.

“But the good news is every team has the best opportunity to improve from Week 1 to Week 2, because, really going into the season, you don’t really know what you have for sure as a coach, and you’re always very anxious about what you might happen in the first game, and I’m sure they’re all disappointed, players and coaches alike. But they all do have a great chance to improve from Week 1 to Week 2. That’s when you make the biggest improvement.”

Alabama will have an opportunity to bounce back during Week 2, which will come at home this Saturday against UL Monroe. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
