Class of 2026 4-star wing Maximo Adams has announced his top 11 schools, and Kentucky basketball
remains a contender for his commitment, according to Joe Tipton of Rivals.
The 6-foot-7 versatile wing has a long list of teams down to Arizona State, Duke, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina, Purdue, Texas, USC, and Washington. Adams has drawn attention for his length, scoring ability, and two-way impact, establishing himself as one of the most coveted recruits on the West Coast.

Adams has already begun scheduling official visits with several of the nation’s premier programs. He is set to visit Kentucky on September 5–6, giving the Wildcats an early opportunity to make an impression.
Other visits include Michigan State (September 11–12), Kansas (September 19–21), Texas (September 27–28), North Carolina (October 31–November 1), and Duke (November 8–9). He has also already taken one official to USC, providing him early familiarity with the Trojans’ program.
For Kentucky, Adams represents a piece in the 2026 class. His ability to stretch the floor, defend multiple positions, and contribute on both ends of the court aligns with the Wildcats’ style under head coach Mark Pope. A successful visit to Lexington could give Kentucky an early edge in this highly competitive recruiting race.
With a strong slate of visits still ahead, Adams will have plenty of opportunities to evaluate some of college basketball’s top programs before making a final decision, but Wildcats fans will be watching closely as his official visit draws near.
