UFC veteran’s opponent snaps leg in 18 seconds

by

UFC and PFL veteran Klidson Abreu returned to the win column with a snappy victory – quite literally.

At ACA 191 in Krasnodar, Russia, Abreu (17-6) squared off with Adam Bogatyrev in a heavyweight bout. It was over in 18 seconds when a hard inside leg kick from Bogatyrev (10-6) went wrong.

The fighters were feeling out the range, and Bogatyrev threw the kick. Abreu checked it, and as a result, the shin snapped on impact. Bogatyrev fell backward to the canvas, grabbing his leg in pain. Abreu rushed in, but the referee was quick to notice what happened and stepped in to prevent any further damage.

The result was Abreu’s first win since a unanimous decision over Adam Keresh under the PFL banner in April 2022. During his time in the UFC, Abreu faced Magomed Ankalaev, Sam Alvey, Shamil Gamzatov and Jamahal Hill.
