KANSAS CITY — The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed catcher Ryan Jeffers on the 7-day Concussion Injured List (retroactive to September 5). Additionally, they have recalled outfielder Carson McCusker and right-handed pitcher Pierson Ohl from Triple-A St. Paul, and have designated right-handed pitcher Brooks Kriske for release or assignment.

Jeffers, who sustained the injury Thursday against the Chicago White Sox at Target Field, has hit .262 (101-for-386) with 24 doubles, nine home runs, 44 RBI, 48 walks, 47 runs scored and a .747 OPS in 114 games for the Twins this season.

McCusker, who will be making his third stint with the Twins this season, has played in 106 games for the Saints in 2025, hitting .246 (96-for-390) with 25 doubles, 22 home runs, 70 RBI, 57 runs scored, a .316 on-base percentage, a .479 slugging percentage and a .795 OPS. In his previous two stints with the Twins this season, he hit .222 (2-for-9) in six games.

Ohl, who will be making his third stint with the Twins this season, recently made two appearances (1 start) for St. Paul, allowing three runs on five hits in 5.0 innings pitched, with one walk and seven strikeouts from August 30-September 4. In seven appearances (3 starts) with Minnesota between July 29-August 24, he went 0-3 with a 5.66 ERA (20.2 IP, 13 ER) with five walks and 16 strikeouts.

Kriske, who was claimed off waivers from the Chicago Cubs on August 5, made 12 appearances for the Twins, going 0-1 with an 11.25 ERA (12.0 IP, 15 ER), 10 walks and 14 strikeouts.
