Brazil’s debut at a Rugby World Cup ended on Sunday with a loss to Italy. The 64-3 defeat meant As Yaras ended their campaign with a third defeat from three matches in England. The challenging tournament saw Brazil facing South Africa, France and Italy in pool play.
Brazil opened the scoring through the boot of fly half Raquel Kochhann. Her three-pointer was the only score of the afternoon from As Yaras. The Brazilians had a disallowed try while Italy played impressive rugby as they scored twelve tries. Only two of the tries were converted.
