The dates and venues for the next round of World Cup qualification have now been set. America First Field in Sandy, Utah, will host the first leg on Saturday, September 20, with the second leg to take place at Estadio Sausalito in Viña del Mar, Chile.
Los Cóndores will represent South America in the play-off series after falling short against Uruguay in their regional clash. Chile’s opponent will be the loser of this weekend’s Pacific Nations Cup contest between the USA and Samoa. The winner of that test earns a spot at Australia 2027.
Salt Lake City will also host the finals of the PNC on the 20th, with the qualifier match to be played first in what will be a triple-header at America First Field. The loser of the play-series, decided on scoring aggregate, will have one more chance to qualify at November’s Repechage tournament Dubai.
