A top ranked commitment in the Spartans‘ 2026 class has picked up recent interest from two of the biggest programs in all of college football.
Michigan State commitment linebacker Braylon Hodge picked up a pair of notable offers on Wednesday from rival Michigan and national power Texas. Hodge posted about each of his offers via his social media X account.

Hodge is also reportedly set to now take an official visit to Texas this fall, according to Hank South of 247Sports.
Hodge is a high-end three-star prospect in the 2026 class, with a recruiting rating of 89 on 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 30 linebacker in the class and No. 5 player from Colorado.
Michigan State picked up a commitment from Hodge in June, with the Spartans beating out the likes of Iowa, Utah and Minnesota for his commitment. His recruitment has been quiet ever since, but the latest push from the Wolverines and Longhorns could make things more interesting and difficult for the Spartans to retain his commitment.
