Sachin Tendulkar has denied speculations of being in the race for the position of the BCCI President with an official statement issued from SRT Sports Management Private Limited and has urged all to refrain from giving credence to such untrue propaganda.
The BCCI Presidential race is on for another term, after Roger Binny turned 70 and had to move out of the position as per the pre-defined rules set by the board. BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla has been handling the matters since then.

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was reported to be in the race for a position in the BCCI. Some social media speculations claimed that he might be planning to fill the void for the BCCI president.

However, ruling out all such possibilities, Tendulkar has denied the claims. The official statement from SRT Sports Management Pvt Ltd read:
“It has come to our attention that certain reports and rumours have been circulating regarding Sachin Tendulkar being considered, or nominated, for the position of President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). We wish to categorically state that no such development has taken place. We urge all concerned to refrain from giving credence to unfounded speculations.”
