Auburn football vs. South Alabama weather forecast for Saturday’s game

by

Auburn football hosts South Alabama on Saturday for an 11:45 a.m. CT kickoff at Jordan-Hare Stadium, and weather reports 24 hours out indicate a favorable forecast for fans planning to attend the game.

Friday morning’s data from Accuweather shows that Saturday’s high temperature for Auburn is 87 degrees, with a “real feel” temperature of 91 degrees. Fans dabbling in early tailgates will experience a fall-like morning with an expected temperature of 65 degrees and northeast winds at 6 miles per hour at 7 a.m. CT, with the temperature warming to 82 degrees by noon with wind gusts expected to be at 14 miles per hour. By the end of the game, the temperature will rise to 87 degrees with winds picking up to 16 miles per hour.

Mixing in a zero percent chance of rain and relative humidity below 50% with warm temperatures will be the formula for a perfect day to take in a game and tailgate with family and friends on the Plains.

The Auburn Tigers are 2-0 after picking up wins over Baylor and Ball State to open the season. This week, they will face the 1-1 South Alabama Jaguars, who come into the game losing a heartbreaker to the Tulane Green Wave last Saturday in Mobile. South Alabama is expected to provide Auburn with a quality challenge this week ahead of next weekend’s SEC opener at Oklahoma. Despite the tests the Jaguars will put Auburn through, the latest odds and expert opinions give Auburn the edge in the game.
