Danielle Collins shares struggle with illness and hospital visit on Instagram

by

Danielle Collins, an American tennis player, shared in her Instagram post the trials she has faced in recent days, given that she has been sick. However, the matter was very serious, because the American tennis player even had to go to the hospital for her health.

Although she admits that traveling the world and playing tournaments can be fun, moments like these often remind us of how much travel, stress and tournaments can affect the body. In addition, while she was feeling sick, Collins also felt severe back pain that caused serious discomfort.

“Guilty as charged: reflecting on most of my trips around the world seems like one big highlight reel after another capturing some of life’s most unbelievably good moments. But that’s not always reality πŸ€₯🀣 It has been the absolute worst being a million miles away from home, feeling sick, my back just absolutely killing me, and being up all hours of the night.”- she wrote.

Support from friends

When you are a professional athlete, it is natural that there will be times when it is difficult to cope. However, she knew that the key was to rest and focus on her health, all in order to get well as soon as possible.

On her recovery journey, she was immensely supported by her friends, who stood by her from day one, making her food, bringing her tea and doing everything they could to make her illness go away as soon as possible.

It is precisely moments like these that are the best reminder of how important a role friends play in your life and how much they should be appreciated and respected.

Collins is truly lucky to have such positive and helpful people in her life, and now she is clearly ready to make a full recovery, with the desire to show her superiority on the tennis courts.

“I don’t know what I would have done without my friends @isabeau_ruiter and @menno_de_groot if they weren’t there to help take care of me the last few days. From taking me to the hospital, driving me all over to get in with the right doctor, making me food, bringing me tea, laying in the living room with me while watching just like that, going on little walks with me, and being so understanding when I’d tell them I need to lay flat again or go to the car to put the seat warmer on my back. Having amazing friends makes the good days greater and the bad days better. So grateful to have friends with the biggest hearts 🀍🀍"- she concluded.
