Andrade WWE Exit Rumor About AAA Appearance Debunked

by

It looks like one of the biggest rumors about Andrade’s WWE departure isn’t holding upβ€”and now multiple sources are calling it out.

Earlier today on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer suggested that part of Andrade’s rocky exit from WWE may have involved him turning down an appearance for AAA. WWE has been taking over the promotion through crossover projects like Worlds Collide, and Meltzer claimed Andrade was wanted for it but β€œdidn’t do it.”

β€œI know they wanted him in the AAA project. I’m not sure that he wasβ€”you know, he didn’t do it. So there’s that. So you can read into what you want… I don’t know that that has anything to do with it or not.”

But now, that entire narrative has been ripped apart. According to PWInsider, not only did Andrade not refuse to appear for AAA, but no such request was even made. In fact, Andrade was never part of any creative plans involving AAA in the first place.

β€œWe are told by three different sources that at no point was that request even made as Andrade was never even included in any pitches for AAA creative ideas.”

That completely contradicts the idea that Andrade’s release was partially triggered by skipping out on an opportunity. If anything, it raises more questions about why the claim was floated in the first place.

Andrade’s WWE exit followed reported disciplinary issues that resulted in him being sent home after SummerSlam. A planned tag match at Clash in Paris was scrapped, and his creative direction came to a sudden halt.

While many speculated that his absence from the AAA project signaled deeper issues between Andrade and WWE leadership, the new information from PWInsider flips the script. If Andrade was never asked to be part of the project, that theory simply doesn’t hold water.

With Andrade officially done with WWE, fans are left trying to piece together what really happened behind the scenes. One thing’s for sureβ€”some of the reporting around his departure is already falling apart.

What do you think about the AAA rumor getting debunked? Should Dave Meltzer be held more accountable for pushing false backstage stories? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
