‘College GameDay’ announces Week 4 location

by

America’s favorite college football pregame show, ESPN’s “College GameDay” will be at the University of Miami for the Florida Gators at Miami Hurricanes game in Week 4. GameDay’s decision to attend the Miami game is a bit of surprise.

The Hurricanes (3-0) are ranked No. 6 in the country and are having a strong season from quarterback Carson Beck, a Georgia Bulldogs transfer. However, Miami plays a 1-2 Florida team that has been an absolute mess to start the 2025 college football season. Florida lost to South Florida at home two weeks ago and last week quarterback DJ Lagway threw five interceptions in a road loss to LSU.

Across college football, there are several other games that are ranked matchups. No. 16 Texas Tech plays at No. 18 Utah, No. 25 Auburn plays at No. 12 Oklahoma, No. 24 South Carolina plays at No. 22 Missouri and No. 8 Illinois plays at No. 17 Indiana in Week 4’s four ranked matchups. There’s certainly a lot of intrigue for the Miami versus Florida game, but we’re surprised GameDay didn’t pick the Texas Tech-Utah or Illinois-Indiana game.

Last week, GameDay did pick the best game of the week. Georgia stunned the Tennessee Volunteers 44-41 on the road in overtime. The Bulldogs may have another opportunity to play on GameDay in Week 5.

Nick Saban, Kirk Herbstreit, Rece Davis, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee serve as college football experts for GameDay.

GameDay’s coverage will begin at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 20, from Coral Gables, Florida and will be televised on ESPN. The Florida-Miami game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on ABC.

Where will GameDay go in Week 5?

A general view of the ESPN College GameDay set

Week 5 offers several good college football games. No. 4 LSU plays at No. 11 Ole Miss, No. 14 Alabama plays at No. 3 Georgia, No. 25 Auburn plays at No. 10 Texas A&M and No. 5 Oregon plays at No. 2 Penn State. We think GameDay will either go to the Georgia or Penn State campus in Week 5.
