Dana White weighs in on Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis: ‘He’s too small’

Dana White takes issue with the weight discrepancy between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis.

Paul vs. Davis takes place Nov. 15 at Kaseya Center in Miami and streams on Netflix. Their 10-round bout will be contested at 195 pounds. Davis holds the WBA lightweight title (135 pounds), whereas Paul has recently competed at cruiserweight (200 pounds).

Logan Paul asked White why he hates his younger brother Jake, prompting the UFC CEO to go off on “The Problem Child” for taking on smaller fighters.

“I don’t hate your brother,” White said on the “IMPAULSIVE” podcast. “You know what’s funny about your brother? Your brother talks more sh*t than anybody else on the planet. Now him and the warlock are running around trying to f*cking sue people? They’re trying to sue people when they talk sh*t? There are people out there saying they’re fake fights, they’re fixed, and all this other f*cking bullsh*t. I think what people mean when they talking about is, he’s going to fight f*cking Gervonta Davis.

“You guys need to fight guys your f*cking same size. When you fought Floyd (Mayweather), you are massive. You’re a massive f*cking dude. Floyd’s tiny, and I’m sure when you were training, you’re like, ‘All right, I’m going to hit this guy with a couple punches and grab him, tie him up.’ And he did hit you with a f*cking bomb of an overhand right one time, and you f*cking ate it. You ate that punch.”

White alluded to siding with Paul to beat Davis.

“Gervonta, I think, hits way harder than f*cking Floyd, but he’s too small,” White said. “I mean, your brother’s going to be able to get inside on him, put his weight on him, tie him up.”
