TNA iMPACT delivered another surprise during the September 18 episode when Ridge Holland showed up and blindsided Mike Santana after his victory over AJZ.
Following the match, Santana grabbed the mic and called out TNA Champion Trick Williams, demanding revenge after being attacked by Trick the week before. Santana promised that his shot at Bound For Glory would be personal, declaring, that at Bound For Glory, Trick’s ass belongs to me.
But instead of Trick, Santana got Ridge Holland. The WWE star stormed the ring and unleashed a violent beatdown, blasting Santana with strikes and headbutts before dropping him with an elevated DDT that left him laid out.
Holland is currently signed to WWE, where he competes on the EVOLVE brand after runs on both NXT and the main roster. Santana is still scheduled to challenge for the TNA World Title at Bound For Glory, but before that, Trick Williams must face NXT Champion Oba Femi in a Champion vs. Champion clash on the September 23 episode of NXT.
With Ridge Holland entering the mix, Santana may have an even bigger fight on his hands heading into Bound For Glory.
