As the second season of the Jan Jensen era of Iowa women’s basketball gets closer and closer, the Hawkeyes and the rest of the Big Ten revealed the regular-season conference slate for the 2025-26 season in an announcement on Thursday afternoon.
Each Big Ten school will play an 18-game schedule, including one school both home and away, while facing 16 teams once. Of the single-play opponents, teams will face eight at home and eight on the road.

Iowa’s two-play opponent in 2025-26 is rival Nebraska.
Iowa opens Big Ten play with a road date at Rutgers on Dec. 6. The Hawkeyes’ schedule also features road dates at Northwestern on Jan. 5, at Indiana on Jan. 11, at Maryland on Jan. 22, at USC on Jan. 29, at UCLA on Feb. 1, at Nebraska on Feb. 16, at Purdue on Feb. 19 and at Wisconsin in the regular-season finale on March 1.
The Hawkeyes’ Big Ten opener is set for Dec. 28 against Penn State. The Hawkeyes also welcome in Nebraska on New Year’s Day, Oregon on Jan. 15, Michigan State on Jan. 18, Ohio State on Jan. 25, Minnesota on Feb. 5, Washington on Feb. 11, Michigan on Feb. 22 and Illinois on Feb. 26.
