Stephanie McMahon Addresses Possibility of In-Ring Return

by

Stephanie McMahon has officially shut down the idea of stepping back into a WWE ring—and she didn’t hold back when explaining why.

During her conversation with Nikki Bella on What’s Your Story?, the former WWE executive and occasional competitor made it clear that she has zero plans to compete again. McMahon said the idea of wrestling again came up recently during a conversation with Big E on the pre-show. When asked if she had one more match left in her, Stephanie gave a brutally honest answer.

“I know. Seriously, Big E asked me last night on the pre show. He goes, ‘So do you have one more match in you?’ And I’m like, ‘No.’ I’m like, ‘Have you seen this division? I will embarrass myself, and the business if I try to hang with these women.’”

She then turned to Nikki Bella, who has returned to action, and praised her for doing what she herself couldn’t. Nikki confirmed she’s still grinding, despite knowing she has a long way to go. Nikki said the challenge is something she embraces.

“I’m doing it… and what was really nice is I know where my foundation’s at, and it’s cool ’cause I’m in a place where I have a lot to build and get to, and it’s fun to push my limits, but I have so much grit that I’m like, I’m gonna do it. And I’m gonna get there. It’s a fun challenge.”

Stephanie McMahon isn’t sugarcoating it—she knows her limits and she’s not trying to steal the spotlight from today’s killers in the ring. With the women’s division stacked like never before, Steph’s decision to stay out of the ring might be the realest move she’s ever made. She’s passing the torch without even lacing up the boots, and honestly, that says a lot.
