Jannik Sinner is about to leave for China, where he will play the tournaments in Beijing and Shanghai. The world number 2 has already metabolized the defeat in four sets against his huge rival Carlos Alcaraz in the US Open final and is ready to shine in the last part of the season, in which he will have to defend many points.
Last year, the 24-year-old Italian reached the final in Beijing, having lifted the trophy at the Shanghai Masters 1000 and also triumphed at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, before dragging Italy to a second Davis Cup success in a row in Malaga.
The star from Sesto Pusteria has lost the first position in the ATP rankings and will certainly have less pressure in the coming months, but his rivalry with Alcaraz is still alive and it is not excluded that Jannik could return to number 1 already before the end of this season (although it is not the most likely scenario).
Sinner launches his Foundation
After practicing for a few days in Monte Carlo with his team, the four-time Grand Slam champion – who won the Australian Open and Wimbledon Championships in 2025 – was in Milan on Thursday to launch his new Foundation which has a very specific purpose.
Interviewed by 'Sky Sport', the former world number 1 explained in detail the reasons behind this choice: "Tennis has taught me many things and changed my life. I would have liked to inaugurate this Foundation a long time ago, but we took more time to do things in the best possible way. I come from a normal family, which has always allowed me to follow my passion. I am convinced that I am very lucky and it is for this reason that we will try to help the boys who need it."
Sinner has helped the entire Italian movement grow thanks to his amazing results and has become a point of reference because of his attitude on and off the court. His positive example has also helped his compatriots to go beyond their limits.
