Phil Rowe has his next UFC assignment, and it comes in the form of a surging Korean welterweight.
A fan-favorite brawler, Rowe (11-5 MMA, 4-3 UFC) has the opportunity to turn heads once again when he fights Seok Hyun Ko (12-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 263. The event takes place Nov. 1 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. The bout was first reported by Korean MMA.
Rowe, 35, snapped a two-fight losing skid when he finished Ange Loose with strikes in his most recent outing. Rowe is 4-2 in his most recent six, however, with the other three victories coming against Niko Price, Jason Witt, and Orion Cosce.
Ko, 31, is off to a hot start in his UFC career, with a big upset win in his debut vs. Oban Elliot. Ko rides a five-fight winning streak into the matchup.
