Having a rough Saturday? Chances are, Mariusz Książkiewicz has it beat.
In a series of unfortunate events, Książkiewicz (11-3) lost his KSW 110 bout against Sergiusz Zając in an unimaginable way in the opening round.
After trading shots in the clinch, Książkiewicz unloaded a pair hard left hands, which Zając (9-1) blocked well. A right teep kick followed, but Książkiewicz’s plant leg buckled underneath him, and he crashed to the canvas from a knee injury.
A bad situation immediately got worse.
Zając was right there to capitalize on the moment and rained down hard hammerfists, putting Książkiewicz out cold. It all happened so fast, there’s no telling if Zając even recognized there was an injury.

After the fight, Książkiewicz came to, and had to be strapped to a wheelchair to exit the cage.
