AJ Lee hasn’t wrestled in a long time, but she’s feeling great.
WWE Wrestlepalooza went down at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. AJ Lee and CM Punk beat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, and that match brought a ton of attention.
During the Wrestlepalooza post show, AJ Lee was asked how it was going out for her first match in so long. She replied with an honest answer, because it does hurt a bit. That being said, she’s very happy about how it all went down.
“The match felt amazing, it’s surreal. It’s been a minute. Everything hurts way more than I remember, but that was a lot of fun.”
It’s been over ten years since AJ Lee last had a match in WWE. That being said, your body doesn’t get that kind of punishment in the real world. AJ Lee is back, but she may have to get used to the bumps again.
Fans showered her with “Welcome Back” chants at that point. She obviously entertained them all at Wrestlepalooza, and her return meant a lot to a number of fans. This is especially true for those who remember her fondly.
We will have to see what is next for AJ Lee. She had a great return at Wrestlepalooza, and only time will tell if there is another match between her and Becky Lynch eventually.
