LSU holds the edge in the all-time series between the two teams at 66-43-4. The last time one team won consecutive games was in 2016. The Tigers strung together five-straight victories before falling on the road in 2021, the same season it fired former head coach Ed Orgeron.
Brian Kelly defeated Ole Miss in come-from-behind fashion in 2022, his first year at the helm. Inside Tiger Stadium, Heisman-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels threw for two touchdowns and ran for three more in a shootout versus a Rebels offense led by Jaxon Dart.
The Tigers are 2-1 against Ole Miss under Kelly. With Lane Kiffin at head coach for the Rebels, they are 2-3 since his first year in 2020. He’ll have to rely on backup quarterback Trinidad Chambliss for the third-straight game.
