Carlos Ulberg shined in his first UFC headliner at UFC Fight Night 260 with the biggest highlight of his octagon tenure thus far against Dominick Reyes.

Ulberg (12-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) pushed his winning streak to nine with a violent first-round knockout of Reyes (15-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC) on Saturday at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, and afterward staked his claim for a light heavyweight title shot.

Not only is Ulberg keen to fight for the belt next, but he’s eager to do it this week. He intends to fly to Las Vegas for UFC 320 and weigh in as the backup for the Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira championship rematch, and if he’s needed, challenge for the title.

Is Ulberg a lock to be competing for a belt in his next octagon appearance, though, or could something else arise? Watch the video above for thoughts and analysis on Ulberg’s future after UFC Fight Night 260.
