The UFC 322 lineup continues to get depth with a key lightweight matchup between Beneil Dariush and Benoit Saint Denis.
Ranked 155-pound fighters Dariush (23-6-1 MMA, 17-6-1 UFC) and Saint Denis (15-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) have agreed to clash on the Nov. 15 card at Madison Square Garden in New York (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) for what will be an important contest in the weight clash.
Two people with knowledge of the booking verified agreements are in place for the booking with MMA Junkie following an initial report from French media outlet RMC Sport Combat. The people requested anonymity because the promotion has yet to announce the matchup.
Dariush, No. 7 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie lightweight rankings, is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Renato Moicano at UFC 317 in June to snap a two-fight losing skid against Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira.
The 36-year-old will attempt to make it back-to-back victories against No. 15-ranked Saint Denis, 29, who has some momentum back on his side with 2025 wins over Mauricio Ruffy and Kyle Prepolec following consecutive defeats against Moicano and Dustin Poirier.
