Aliyah Boston to play in Unrivaled, work as analyst in WNBA offseason

by

Indiana Fever center Aliyah Boston will be working double duty this WNBA offseason.

Unrivaled announced Monday that Boston will return to Miami this winter, playing in the 3×3 league for the second straight season. Boston played in the inaugural season earlier this year on the Vinyl BC, averaging 5.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

The league, which was founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, will run from Jan. 5 to early March, depending how far clubs get in the Unrivaled playoffs.

On top of that, Front Office Sports reported Monday that Boston is finalizing a deal to return to Peacock and NBC as a studio and game analyst for Big Ten women’s basketball. Boston also was a Big Ten women’s basketball analyst in the offseason following her rookie season, even interviewing her future teammate Caitlin Clark while Clark was still at Iowa.

Boston is one of multiple active players or coaches to be an analyst in the WNBA offseason: Fever coach Stephanie White calls college and NBA games for ESPN in the offseason, while teammate Sophie Cunningham also worked as an analyst for the Suns while she was in Phoenix. Chiney Ogwumike, who is a pivotal part of ESPN’s WNBA coverage, did double duty as a professional basketball player and an analyst, as well.

Following a busy offseason, Boston will be entering the final year of her rookie contract with the Fever in 2026.
