The long-awaited Women’s Blood and Guts match may finally be on the horizon, and AEW just revealed when and where the carnage will take place.
On social media, AEW confirmed that Blood and Guts is set for Wednesday, November 12, at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The announcement comes shortly after Jamie Hayter challenged Thekla and her Triangle of Madness faction during AEW Collision, dropping the words that fans have been waiting to hear: Blood and Guts. This would mark the first time AEW’s most violent match includes women, breaking new ground for the division after years of calls for it to happen.
AEW first introduced Blood and Guts in 2021, but every edition has featured male wrestlers only. Earlier this year, Tony Khan made it clear there was no policy preventing women from competing in the match, and stars like Willow Nightingale have pushed for it to happen. Now, with new AEW Women’s Tag Titles already in play, Greensboro looks to be the site where the women finally get their shot inside the double cage.
Blood and Guts has a reputation for being AEW’s most brutal spectacle, and fans in North Carolina will be the ones to witness history if the women’s match is confirmed as expected.
Do you think AEW should make the November 12 Blood and Guts match the official debut for the women’s division inside the cage? Who would you like to see step into the double cage for this historic showdown? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
