Louis Jourdain made a strong case to join his brother Charles Jourdain on the UFC roster at Dana White’s Contender Series 84.

Jourdain (9-3) has a solid bantamweight battle with Mango Dias (6-2) on Tuesday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, but in the late stages of the contest, found the neck of his opponent, locked in a rear-naked choke and got the tap at the 0:39 mark of Round 3.

Prior to the fight, Jourdain said he was going to get the win, get the UFC contract and land a spot on the UFC Fight Night 262 card in Vancouver on Oct. 18 alongside his brother.

Following the fight, Jourdain doubled down with his plea for the future to become the first pair of Canadian brothers

“We started training together, but i Had a lot of injuries, then COVID happened and I couldn’t get a fight,” Jourdain said in his post-fight interview with Laura Sanko. “It’s time, I really hope I’m going to get the contract and maybe fight in two weeks in Vancouver.”
