The entry lists for the first stop of the World Aquatics World Cup have been released, with Olympic stars Leon Marchand and Summer McIntosh scheduled to compete in multiple events from Oct. 10-12 in Carmel, Indiana. The three-stop series will also feature competition in Westmont, Illinois (Oct. 17-19) and Toronto (Oct. 23-25), and many of the top names in the sport are scheduled to race in the short-course tour.

Marchand, the four-time Olympic champion from France, is entered in the 400-meter freestyle, 100 individual medley, 200 IM, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke. Whether Marchand contests all seven events remains to be seem, but his presence will be a highlight of the Carmel stop. Marchand is coming off a summer in which he set the world record in the long-course version of the 200 medley.

McIntosh, who has committed to all three legs of the World Cup, is entered in five events: 400 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 butterfly, 200 IM, 400 IM. McIntosh is the short-course world-record holder in the 400 free, 200 fly and 400 IM. She’ll be joined in Carmel by countryman Josh Liendo, who is entered in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 50 butterfly and 100 butterfly.

Leading the way for the United States are Gretchen Walsh and Regan Smith. Walsh is slated to race the 50 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly and 100 medley while Smith will swim all three backstroke events and the 200 butterfly.
