Introducing the 2025 Comet Open
The cherry on the cake in the partnership is the launch of the 2025 Comet Open, an open tournament for all players that will take place over two weekends: October 11-12 and October 18-19. To participate, players must be using the Comet browser.

The event will feature two sections with a massive prize fund:
- Titled Players: $150,000 prize fund, with $45,000 for first place.
- Untitled Players: $50,000 prize fund, with $15,000 for first place.
The tournament will have two stages: Qualifiers and a Playoff. Eight qualifier arenas will take place on October 11 and 12. The top four players from each arena advance to a 32-player double-elimination knockout bracket, taking place on October 18 and 19. The time control will be 3+0 throughout the entire event.
