Texas A&M’s success on the football field this season has resulted in more recruiting success, as the Aggies landed their third commitment in the 2027 cycle after three-star athlete Hakeim Frampton made things official just minutes after A&M’s 16-10 win over the Auburn Tigers last Saturday.
Earlier this week, elite 2027 four-star offensive lineman Albert Simien received a prediction to land with the Aggies, while Friday’s latest prediction from Rivals recruiting insider Sam Spiegelman revealed that 2027 four-star edge Kaden McCarty is also predicted to land with Texas A&M after taking his unofficial visit to College Station during the Aggies’ win over the Tigers.

In a game where the defense dominated from start to finish, limiting Auburn to just 177 yards, while sacking quarterback Jackson Arnold seven times, McCarty had to be highly impressed with how coach Mike Elko and defensive coordinator Jay Bateman have constructed the defense, and he can see a future in Elko’s system.
Already established as an elite pass rusher, McMarty racked up 59 tackles, 11 sacks, and 24 tackles for loss during his 2024 sophomore season at Cy Falls (Houston) High School, and will likely be considered a five-star prospect by this time next year. Texas A&M’s history of landing and developing elite defensive linemen has continued to attract up-and-coming prospects, so McCarty’s interest isn’t surprising.
According to Rivals, McCarty is currently positioned as the 120th-ranked prospect in the class, the 18th-ranked edge and the 18th-ranked prospect in Texas.
