AEW Champion Faces Setback After Suffering Dislocated Shoulder Injury

by

AEW star Bandido has revealed that he suffered a dislocated shoulder while defending his ROH World Championship in CMLL.

During the October 3 CMLL Viernes Espectacular event, Bandido faced Hechicero in a 23-minute battle, successfully retaining his title. After the match, he took to Instagram story to reveal that his shoulder had popped out of place during the bout.

Posting a photo of his arm in a sling, Bandido apologized to fans, explaining that his shoulder had briefly dislocated before popping back in. He also thanked Hechicero for his professionalism and hinted at a possible third match between them for Mexican fans.

“My apologies to the CMLL Fanbase. My shoulder popped out and popped back into place. Thank you Hechicero for always being a Gentleman. We owe a third one to our Mexican Fanbase.”

This was the second time Bandido and Hechicero had competed for the ROH World Championship, following their first encounter at Death Before Dishonor in August. Bandido last appeared in AEW at the September 20 All Out pay-per-view, teaming with Brody King to defend the AEW Tag Team Titles in a four-way ladder match.

We will have to wait and see whether Bandido will end up having to miss out on significant in-ring time due to his dislocated shoulder injury, as fans just want him to recover as soon as possible.

What do you think about Bandido’s decision to finish the match despite his injury? Do you want to see a third showdown between Bandido and Hechicero once he’s fully recovered? Share your thoughts and support for Bandido in the comments below!
