Michigan State men’s and women’s basketball gave fans an early look into their teams during their annual Michigan State Madness event on Friday night.
Michigan State Madness is an annual event that the Spartans host that is essentially the same thing as “Midnight Madness” for those who remember that traditional event. The event included fun entrances for the players and coaches, open practice sessions and even a dunk contest.

Michigan State men’s basketball will play its first exhibition game of the year on October 23 at home against Bowling Green. The official season-opener is scheduled for November 3 against Colgate from the Breslin Center.
The Spartans women’s basketball team will play its first exhibition game on Michigan Tech on October 22 from the Breslin Center. The first official regular season game of the year will come on November 4 against Mercyhurst.
