Wilson joins two other WNBA stars in record books after Finals masterclass
According to ESPN reporter Kendra Andrews, citing data from ESPN Insights, the seven-time WNBA All-Star becomes the third player ever to record 20 points in the first half of a Finals matchup.
Wilson follows Angel McCoughtry, who recorded it in 2011, and Kahleah Copper, who achieved it in 2021.
In Game 1, Wilson posted 21 points on the floor in what was a hard-fought contest that came right down to the final scoreline 89-86. The latest achievement highlights Wilson’s top gameplay, which has seen her clinch four WNBA MVP awards in her illustrious career.
