Plans for WWE NXT’s crossover with TNA Wrestling may have just been leaked—and it could confirm which match is set to main event the October 7 ShowDown special.
According to a new update from Fightful Select, the men’s Survivor Series-style elimination match was slated to close the show as of last week. While that may change before airtime, the fact that this match was penciled in as the main event speaks volumes about the importance of the NXT vs TNA war.
This interpromotional showdown is stacked from top to bottom, featuring top stars, championship stakes, and special guest referees from both brands. The men’s elimination match will now have Joe Hendry officiating, following an official announcement by Santino Marella. Hendry joins Jordynne Grace, who was previously confirmed as the referee for the women’s elimination bout.
