Lane Kiffin’s son set to visit LSU football as a recruit

by

It’s long been known that the Kiffin family isn’t averse to drama. Less than a week before LSU faced Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin’s daughter posted a photo on Instagram with starting LSU linebacker Whit Weeks, sparking talk and controversy surrounding the daughter of the Ole Miss coach and where her allegiances lie.

That controversy has persisted, but this time it centers around another one of Kiffin’s children. Knox Kiffin, Lane’s son, will be in Death Valley for LSU’s game against South Carolina on October 11th. Kiffin shared the news of his invitation on his Twitter page, tagging LSU assistant general manager Kevin Bolden and offensive coordinator Joe Sloan, as shown below.

Kiffin is just a sophomore, but he stands at 6’2″ and weighs 170 pounds, according to 247Sports. He doesn’t have a ranking as of yet, which isn’t uncommon for players his age. Kiffin has eight offers, namely from SMU and East Carolina, but as he gets closer to college and has the opportunity to attend more camps, that’s expected to change.

Kiffin isn’t yet the starter for his team, the Oxford Chargers, but he’s performed well when given the chance to play. Below is an example of a moment when he got to hit the field in a blowout against Lafayette High School.

According to MaxPreps, Kiffin threw for 109 yards in that short outing.

Kiffin will be attending an important game for the Tigers, as they need to get their season back on track after their loss to Ole Miss in Week 5.
