South Carolina women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley will be joined by three players at SEC media days on Oct. 14.
Senior starting forward Chloe Kitts, sophomore forward Joyce Edwards and senior transfer guard Ta’Niya Latson will be with Staley in Birmingham, Alabama, the conference announced on Oct. 7.

Staley will speak from 11:50-12:05 p.m. ET then the players will speak from 12:05-12:15 p.m. ET. SEC Network will have live coverage beginning at 11 a.m. ET.
Kitts is going into Year 3 as a starter for the Gamecocks, who finished the 2024-25 season with a loss to UConn in the national championship. It was Kitts’ second straight title game appearance. She is the reigning SEC Tournament MVP and averaged 10.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game as a junior last year.
Edwards was the team’s leading scorer as a freshman off the bench last season with 12.7 points. She started one time, when Kitts missed the game against NC State on Nov. 10. She had a season high of 28 points against Florida on Feb. 13.
Latson transferred to South Carolina in April after spending three years at Florida State. She led the nation in scoring with 25.2 points per game last season.

Last year, Staley was joined by starting point guard Raven Johnson and former starting forward Sania Feagin.
