After months of anticipation, Longhorns basketball fans can start mapping out their TV schedules. On Tuesday, the Longhorns men’s basketball team unveiled its 2025-26 regular season slate. With a roster full of new faces, Texas has high expectations, and that is reflected in how they will be covered.
The Longhorns will have 26 of their 31 games featured on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, the SEC Network, and Fox. Their five remaining games will be available on the SEC Network+, ESPN+, and the ESPN app. For Sean Miller, it will be an opportunity to showcase his new system and put the college basketball world on notice.
Texas is set to make nine appearances on the SEC Network. That includes a pair of non-conference home games against Rider on November. 8 and Southern on Dec. 8. They will also be featured on Fox when they take on Virginia as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge on Dec. 3, and when they face off with UConn in Hartford on Dec. 12. All three of UT’s games at the Southwest Maui Invitational (Nov. 24-26) will be on either ESPN or ESPN2.

All the fun will kick off when the Longhorns open their season against Duke on Nov.4 at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center. That game is set to start at 7:45 p.m. Central time, and it will be televised nationally by ESPN. It will be a good first test for the Longhorns as they chase a national title.
Following a disappointing 2024-2025 campaign, the Longhorns are ready for the start of a new era. Last season, they finished with a 19-16 overall record. They struggled in conference play, posting a 6-12 record. That led to the firing of head coach Rodney Terry, whom Miller is replacing.
Since taking over, Miller has been busy reshaping the roster through the transfer portal. The new faces include Dailyn Swain, Camden Heide, Simeon Wilcher, Lassina Traore, and Mates Vickietaitis. That group will be tasked with ushering in a new and more successful period of Longhorns basketball. In less than a month, they will have the opportunity to prove whether they are up to the task.
