All set for the return, after years of exile from the world of professional golf, of the Skin Game, an event that was once unique.
Well, now we have the details of the 2025 edition, which will relaunch the historic format after 17 years.
First of all, when will it be held?
The chosen date is Black Friday, that is, Friday, November 28th.

They are four professionals who play on the PGA Tour (obviously): Keegan Bradley, Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele, and Tommy Fleetwood (yes, I also thought they only included one European hoping the three Americans would have a better chance, ed.).
Where will it be played?
The designated location is Panther National in Palm Springs, a course that opened in 2023 and was designed by Jack Nicklaus, co-designed with Justin Thomas (so will he have an advantage?).
Regarding the game format, the organizers wanted to introduce a twist on the prize pool.
The "free-for-all" format remains, of course, on each hole, with the prize pool accumulating on the next in the event of a tie, but with a substantial change from the past.
While in the traditional Skin, players all started from scratch, in the modern version, each of the four players will receive a starting prize of one million dollars, which will increase or decrease depending on the result achieved on each hole.
Chad Mumm, co-founder and president of Pro Shop (organizer of the event along with PGA Tour Studios and Propagate Content), stated:
"We have taken up the baton to bring the Skin back to life and reclaim its rightful place in the sports calendar."
"By keeping the original format intact and introducing a few creative tweaks, we will give fans an experience that, while honoring the past, will guarantee pure, risky competition, where the pressure builds with every shot."
