The Texas Tech football team will be without the services of each of its top two punt returners when the Red Raiders host Kansas on Saturday.
Receivers Roy Alexander and Tristian Gentry are both listed as out on Tech’s initial availability report, released by the Big 12 Conference on Wednesday night. Both players missed last week’s win over Houston and will be out again when the Red Raiders return to Jones AT&T Stadium.

Fellow receiver Coy Eakin took over duties at punt returner in their absence. Eakin was listed as the starter at the position on Tech’s Monday depth chart, ahead of Gentry and running back J’Koby Williams.
Two key starters, linebacker Jacob Rodriguez and left tackle Howard Sampson, are listed as questionable. Rodriguez briefly left the game at Houston with a bruised calf but returned to action later before sitting out the rest of the blowout win.
