Week 7 of the 2025 Big Ten football season delivered memorable moments at every level of the conference.
No. 7 Indiana’s road win over No. 3 Oregon headlined the week’s results. The triumph is a continued statement of arrival for Hoosiers head coach Curt Cignetti and his program. While Oregon remains in the Big Ten and College Football Playoff hunt, it now looks to the upstart Hoosiers in the standings.

Other notable triumphs from the week include USC‘s big home win over Michigan and Nebraska‘s road win over Maryland. On the other hand, the slate also delivered some program-changing losses: Penn State‘s inexplicable home defeat to Northwestern and Wisconsin’s 37-0 home loss to Iowa. The first two results mark big steps forward for programs looking for a breakthrough, while the second two could mark the beginning of the end of James Franklin and Luke Fickell’s respective coaching tenures.
After a busy week in the conference, here are our updated power rankings.
